MPA is a dynamic school holiday performing arts workshop being held in Mosman. Your child will take part in an original production that will be performed to an audience at the end of the week. Your child can either spend their time focusing solely on either dance or drama, or do both. We look to cater for all students that walk through our doors. We are passionate in our respective areas of the performing arts and enjoy any opportunity to share our expert knowledge and experience. Whether your child needs to build their confidence, develop their performance skills or simply have some fun these holidays, we believe that MPA is the right place for them.
I have been a Primary teacher for over 13 years. I have always had a passion for the dramatic arts. I have written, directed and produced a number of school musicals that have involved over 300 students. I have also directed Drama Groups for the last 10 years which have performed each year at the ArtsNorth and Arts Alive Drama Festival. For many years I have assisted as a crew member at the Arts Alive Drama Festival’s stage management team. I have been asked by the NSW Arts Unit to be a tutor for this year's State Primary Drama Ensemble. My greatest achievement has been that my school’s Drama Group have successfully been accepted into the NSW State Drama Festival for the last consecutive 6 years. I'm extremely passionate about the arts and I enjoy creating positive, creative and exciting performances for the students that I work with.
I started my primary school teaching career back in 2001 and have had the opportunity to teach in several schools across Sydney and the UK. For the last decade I have been positioned in the Lower North Shore and embraced by the local school community. My ultimate goal when I started teaching was to combine my background in dance with my teaching career. I began dancing at the age of six, training at many Sydney schools. Although classically trained I found my true passion in lyrical, commercial jazz and theatre jazz once I started training under Ramon Doringo, Sue-Ellen Chester and Missy Stephens. I have been fortunate enough to perform in some of the most beautiful theatres in Sydney and participate in both large scale productions and private functions. This experience was invaluable once I started working in primary schools. I have run a Senior Dance Group for nearly 12 years, choreographed many school productions and mentored other primary school teachers interested in dance. My greatest achievement is watching children shine on stage once they feel that true passion for dance.
